Day 0 departure from your country
Day 1 arriving in Mombasa Airport and transfer to Motorsafaris Base in Msambweni
You will be picked up from the airport in Mombasa by a driver from Motorsafaris who will take you to SawaSawaBeachHouse in Msambweni in about 2 hours. Relax with a snack and a drink on the beach or at the pool. Test drive on the motorcycle in the Shimba Hills, money withdrawals, the last shopping.
Day 2 Msambweni - Sagala Lodge
We avoid Mombasa by taking the inside road via Kwale and dirt-road going to Kinango.
New roads are made with asphalt and soon we arrive at the Mombasa Highway. Depending on the weather and available time we can take an inside road, the so-called ‘rally-road’. We arrive before dark in the lovely ‘Sagala Lodge’. Nice rooms and a swimming-pool!
Day 3 Sagala - Oloitikitok
After breakfast we depart and take the Voi-Taveta road. New asphalt through Tsavo East National Park heading to Tanzania. Chances to see elephants and other game. Before we reach Tanzania we branch into what we call the ‘Rombo Road’, 70 km. of tough dirt-road. We are approaching the Kilimanjaro and if the weather is good we can see Kibo-peak and Kilimanjaro-peak. Overnight in a cosy lodge not far from Amboseli National park.
Day 4 Amboseli safari-day
This day is reserved for an optional visit to Amboseli National Park. That means getting up early because the Kilimanjaro and the wildlife are best seen in the early morning. Elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions and much more, beautiful nature with great photo moments and the impressive snowcapped Kilimanjaro in the background.

Day 5 Oloitikitok - Mto Wa Mbu 270 km, TANZANIA
Early morning border-crossing to Tanzania at Tarakea. The ride starts in pine-forests and climbs up to 2400 m. on the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro. Agriculture takes over. The old lava soil is fertile and we see maize, wheat and even tomatoes on the Kilimanjaro. 50 km. of beautiful dirt-road and new tarmac again. Suddenly we brach to a dirt-road again on the way to the Nairobi-Arusha connection. This asphalt-road brings us to Mto was Mbu where we will spent 2 nights.
Day 6 Mto Wa Mbu safari-day
A lovely day in the famous Serengeti
Day 7 Mto Wa Mbu - Moshi 203 km
Today we are heading east. On the way to the Indian Ocean. We spend the night in the coolness of Moshi, a town at the foot of Kilimanjaro. There are nice shops, tailors, good restaurants and perfect coffee-shops in Moshi.
Day 8 Moshi - Lushoto 260 km.
After 90 km of asphalt we take 100 km. beautiful dirt road behind the Pare mountains.
Lunch in a local restaurant and then another 50 km. hot asphalt. a Mombo we climb into the Usambara mountains. We spend 2 nights in Lushoto. In the cool mountains of the Usambara’s
Day 9 Lushoto mountain-ride 120 km.
A wonderful ride in the dense populated mountains. The soil is fertile and rain is common here. So it became an agricultural area. Valleys are irrigated and planted with vegetables. The ride today is relaxed and the views are fantastic.
Day 10 Lushoto - Tanga (fly to Zanzibar in 40 minutes)
We drive down the Usambara mountains and we are back in the savanna. On our way to Tanga. We pass Mombo, Korogwe, Muheza and soon we are in the airport of Tanga. Don’t expect fancy shops here. It’s local and it’s about getting to somewhere by plane. Arriving in Zanzibar in the afternoon
Day 11 Zanzibar motorbike tour
Today is freedom. You can sleep, relax, walk on the beach, visit old-town or take a motorbike-tour. We advise you to extend your stay in Zanzibar with a few days. it’s a nice Island
Day 12 Fly back to your country or extend your stay in Zanzibar.
